This case involves a romance scam that has been widely covered by most Korean media outlets.
On behalf of the client, who had returned to their home country, Simon Lee successfully apprehended the fraudster in Korea and facilitated a settlement between the client and the perpetrator, ensuring full recovery of the client’s losses.
However, due to the severity of the crime, the court determined that the defendant’s actions were particularly malicious and sentenced them to imprisonment.
Currently, Simon is continuing a civil lawsuit against the defendant on behalf of the client.
