[GAMETOC] The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom “Zelda Writing Link’s Legend”

A puzzle-centric adventure game utilizing projection and sync mechanics… scheduled for release at the end of September.

Nintendo has released a new video titled “How to Walk in Hyrule: Land Edition” for “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.”

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is the 21st installment in the Legend of Zelda series, first revealed during the June Nintendo Direct. For the first time in the series, Princess Zelda is the main protagonist. She embarks on a journey to eliminate cracks appearing throughout Hyrule and to rescue Link, who fell into one of these cracks during a battle with Ganondorf.

The game features a plastic miniature style of graphics, similar to the remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. While Princess Zelda is the main character, Link is also confirmed as a playable character. The game, primarily puzzle-based, is set for release on September 26th for the Nintendo Switch.

The latest video showcases various regions and races that will appear in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. These include the Gerudo in the Gerudo Desert, the Zora in Zora’s Domain, the Goron in Death Mountain, and the Deku Nuts in Faron Woods.

New equipment and abilities for Princess Zelda were also revealed. She can equip accessories to enhance her abilities or change her appearance through different outfits. By bringing ingredients to the merchant Nuts, she can make smoothies that not only restore health but also provide various effects depending on the ingredients used.

In addition to her main ability, “Projection,” Princess Zelda also uses a new ability called “Sync.” Sync allows her to move objects according to her movements, such as retrieving buried treasures or pushing away obstructive enemies. She can also sync with the projections she creates and use sync inversion to follow an opponent’s movements.

Users have shown positive reactions, saying things like, “Finally, Zelda writes the legend,” “It reminds me a lot of Breath of the Wild features,” “The graphics are cute and high-quality,” “I’m curious about the level design,” and “This is the most anticipated new Nintendo release.”
