On November 6, 100 international students from the Global Business department at Busan International College (Tongmyong University) visited Busan New Port and the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, experiencing Busan’s advanced logistics and business facilities. The students were amazed by the scale and advanced automation systems of Busan New Port, ranked 7th globally. After observing the foreign investment scale, free management, and operational system of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, they expressed their determination to become global business professionals in Busan.
Kolmurov Lazizbek, a student from Uzbekistan, shared his admiration for the vast scale of Busan’s trade, logistics, and business facilities, and expressed his determination to study hard to grow as an expert. Similarly, student Rama Anusha from Nepal described Busan New Port and the Free Economic Zone as “a future mega-city as seen in movies,” and expressed her ambition to grow and work as a global businesswoman in Busan.
The Global Business department at Tongmyong University, led by Professor Woo Jong-gun, is a specialized department for international students focusing on trade, logistics, and business. Since its establishment, it has offered an English-only curriculum, attracting around 200 students annually. The program not only provides specialized knowledge but also focuses on Korean language skills and cultural adaptability.
